I know this isn't TV RELATED......

But I am a nerd and the happenings with the whole Spiderman thing has obviously sent my nerd radar into overdrive. When I first saw Spiderman I didn't think much of it. Reason being Spiderman is a pussy. Peter Parker needs to grown some balls and just ask Mary Jane (whatever her name is) out because when you have a friend like Harry (who is hot and rich) you need to step up your game a notch. So that is my Spiderman beef and in case you are wondering my favourite super hero is Batman.

Despite my initial dislike of the movie I grew to like it and really appreciate it. I guess mainly because all we had to compare it to was Batman and Robin. And we all know how horrible that was. Plus I grew to love and respect Sam Raimi. Dude is a visionary.

The thing I hate most about the movie industry is that as soon as something becomes successful, be it an actor or a movie or even a bloody tree on an island, they pimp it out to the masses. Which is exactly what happened to the whole Spiderman franchise. Spiderman 2 was ok but was the hell was with 3. Like when he became emo and was doing a random dance sequence. Don't get me wrong - absolutley loved Thomas Haden Church as the Sandman (I am a Ned and Stacey fan from way back). Plus, Topher Grace was in it - my 1998/1999 crush. See there is your TV reference.

So now the grand plan is to do the whole Spiderman before he was Spiderman - so the teenage years. But wasn't that the first movie? And if they are going to go in the vein of Batman Begins (BTW no matter who ends up writing/directing this will this ever even compare to Batman Begins. As I said before Spiderman = pussy) how are they going to do it. Spiderman isn't dark nor mysterious. He shoots stioky crap out of his arms for crying out loud!!!

To conclue: Spiderman will suck without Raimi and possible Tobey Maguire (to an extent). It will not meet nor surpass Batman Begins. PLUS the villian willl have to MAKE the movie.

Side note: I did not bother to mention Kirsten Dunst as she was a complete waste for the ENTIRE movie franchise. Future casting reference: Zooey Deschenal (spelling error and I dont care).
